The following is a basic summary of Tri-State Bassmasters’ club and tournament rules:

1. The club will have a maximum of 26 members.

2. Applicants will submit a signed and dated application at a regular monthly meeting accompanied by a $15.00 initiation fee.

3. Applicants must be sponsored by 1 active member.

4. Applicants will become probationary members for a minimum of 90 days and must fish with an active member at least once before being voted in as a full member.

5. All members must be a member of FLW.

6. All members must own a boat of at least 14 feet in length and in tournament ready condition.

7. Monthly meetings will be held at 7:00pm. on the 1st. Tuesday of the month at the Bristol Township building. Members must attend at least 1 meeting per calendar quarter and 4 tournaments per year.

8. Dues are $10.00 per month, with $30.00 being due at the December meeting and the additional $90.00 being due at the March meeting.

9. Members must have a valid fishing license for each state that the club fishes. As well as a Coast Guard approved boaters safety certificate and liability insurance for all boats. Proof of all must be shown at the March meeting.

10. Drawings for tournaments will be held at the monthly meetings. Pairings and starting positions for tournaments are determined at this time. Anyone wanting to fish must be present at the monthly meeting or notify any member attending the meeting to have their names entered into the tournaments. Participants must specify either owner or rider.

11. Riders must contact Owners at least 48hrs. Prior to tournament.

12. A riders fee will be paid to the boat owner, as follows: $20.00 large boat tournaments and $10.00 small boat tournaments. All ramp fees or tolls will be split 50/50.

13. Tournament entry fees are $15.00 per tournament payable prior to launch time.

14. Tournament fee breakdown: $9.00 payout, $1.00 lunker, $2.00 perpetual lunker, $3.00 club funds.

15. Lunker must be a least 2lb.8oz. And perpetual lunker must be at least 6lbs.

16. Tournament payouts are as follows : 1st. Place 50% of payout, 2nd. Place 30% of payout, 3rd. Place 20% of payout.

17. Tournament scoring is based on pounds and ounces, with 1 point per ounce. 2 points are given for each fish released alive. 2 points are subtracted for each dead fish. The most points determines the winner. In the event of a tie the largest fish determines the winner. When a weigh-in is not allowed, weights will be determined using an inches to ounces conversion chart using ¼ inch increments. A Gator Grip dink board is required.

18. A 30 point system will be used to determine club standings, with 30 points for 1st., 29 points for 2nd. and so on. Those not weighing in fish will be given 4 points.

19. All tournaments will be a 5 fish limit.

20. All starting and ending times for tournaments are determined prior to all tournaments. There will be a late penalty for any boat that is not with in 25yards of the launch ramp at the official ending time of the tournament. The penalty shall be 16 points or the largest fish, which ever is larger. Any boat more than 15 minutes late shall lose all fish and 16 points.

21. No contestant shall fish within 25 yards of another contestant unless they ask and permission is given.

22. No fishing is permitted within 25 yards of the launch ramp.

23. Each contestant must have a Coast Guard approved life vest in the boat. Anytime the gasoline engine is running the life vest must be worn.

24. No alcohol is permitted during tournaments.

25. Tournament site is off limits 24 hours prior to the tournament, with the exception of the Delaware river.
