We are one of the earliest organized bass fishing clubs in the Northeastern United States, and is certainly one of the longest-lived. Our club was founded in 1972, only five years after Ray Scott (founder of the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society, B.A.S.S.) held his first major tournament in June of 1967 at Beaver Lake, Arkansas, and Tri-State is still going strong today! The vision that the original six founding members had over 30 years ago has never been compromised & Tri-State has grown into the model of a friendly, learning-based bass club that it is today. Since its inception, Tri-State has been focused on conserving the priceless natural resources that provide its members with so much enjoyment throughout their lives. These include a clean environment, healthy fisheries & waterways, and an educated public. Tri-State has always made safe care & release of our catches a top priority, along with leaving our fishing destinations as clean & often cleaner than when we arrived at them. In our 30+ years we've been fortunate to have witnessed the very evolution of bass fishing from an unpopular form of country-leisure into the high-tech major sport that it's become. We're excited to see these trends in advancement continue for many years to come, and are looking forward to countless beautiful days on the water & tight lines! |
